1. Saranello's
This restaurant is awesome. We went last month for drinks and appetizers with a couple of our friends, but we decided to try it out for dinner with our families for Easter. Now remember this, I'm Italian...very very Italian, and I thought this was some of the best Italian food I've ever had from a restaurant. Nothing will ever beat my Nana's home cooking, but this restaurant is officially my new favorite Italian eatery. It's located at 601 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wheeling, IL. You can view their menu here. Apologizes for no delish food pictures of our meal...I was too busy stuffing my face ;)

2. Striped Wedges
I found these adorable wedges at T.J. Maxx for $25! I can't wait till the weather gets a little warmer, so I can break them out with a cute white dress! I couldn't find the exact ones on their website, but they have some other super cute wedges you can take a gander at on your computer! The brand for these wedges though is White Mountain.

3. Madewell Tank
Another one of my random clearance finds at Madewell. I think I bought it on sale for around $30? Unfortunately, they don't have it online in their sale section, but they do have some other really cute pieces on sale!

4. Gallery Wall
Our "gallery wall" in our living room is finally coming together. We added 3 new photographs of NYC to the mix. The bottom 2 were captured by Caleb and myself on your trip last May, but the cute map you see it the left hand corner is from Warby Parker! They made a map of all the best spots to read in Manhattan as their entry for participating in the NYC Egg Hunt that was going on for the Easter season. They are giving the maps away for free at NYC bookstores or you can download it from the link I provided. Of course, living in Chicago, I had to download it, but I sent it over to Walgreen's to have it made in to a poster size and framed it. All the frames you see on the wall were purchased at Home Goods this past month, too. Sorry but the pup is not for sale ;)

5. Sally Hansen Pink Nail Polish
The color name is Sweetie Pie and the number is 230 of the Diamond Strength line. It is such a great color for spring, and I literally want to paint my nails with it every week. I've refrained to making them this color only 2 weeks out of the last 4 though. My nail polish usually chips so quickly because 1. I buy the cheap stuff and 2. I'm convinced my nails just don't like to have color on them because even expensive nail polish tends to chip within a couple days, which is in turn why I buy cheap stuff. However, this line of nail polish likes to stay on my nails for some reason!? They're only about $4 a bottle, too!

6. Canon Rebel T3 Camera
I bought it for Caleb as a gift this past month, but it is one of my new favorite things, EVER. I've been using it to take my pictures for the blog these past couple weeks and I can notice a world of difference. Everything is just so much more sharp, colorful, and clear. I purchased it off of Amazon, and I'm trying out Amazon Prime right now, which is pretty awesome. I was able to have the camera shipped to me in 2 days for free! As for the Canon vs. Nikon debate I was having within and the couple of recommendations I had from friends, I went with the Canon. For 1, Caleb really seemed sold on the Canon when I did some personal investigating, and 2, I read this review on Amazon regarding the debate, and the reviewer was a photography teacher in NYC. I wish I could find the actual review for you guys, but in a nutshell he said how Canons are much more user friendly, and Nikon's have way more functions. Think Mac vs. PC. The thing that got me though is he said that Canons are slightly better outside than Nikons are at picking up color. Caleb will mostly be using his camera outside for trips, city adventures, landscapes, etc. So that is what fully swayed me towards the Canon. I am of course no professional photographer, so I suggest if you are looking in to purchasing a camera like this to do your homework and see what feels best for you.

7. Smart Girls w/ Amy Poehler
I am obsessed with Amy Poehler these days. I love Parks and Rec, I love SNL, and I just love Amy. Especially in Mean Girls...can I get a holler for the 10th anniversary of Mean Girls yesterday!? Woot woot, Mrs. George! Anyways, Amy has her own YouTube channel! I guess I've been living in a box, but I discovered it last week. She has a bunch of different kinds of videos on her channel, and they are all just so inspiring. I especially love this one with mural painter, Judy Baca.

8. Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling
This was my favorite book I read this past month. You can see my book club review for it here. Mindy is so hilarious. I am so glad we have these kinds of women in show business these days. Mindy is a true role model, and I highly suggest you read her book.

9. "Come With Me Now" by Kongos
I'm obsessed with this song. I love it. I blast it any time it comes on the radio, and I get so pumped when it comes up on my workout playlist. I'm going to see them at Summerfest in Milwaukee and I don't think I could be more excited for it!
Happy May!
