Obviously a no brainer. Usually my go to piece for going out to a fancy dinner. The best part about dresses is you can dress them up with some heels and nice jewelry, or you can dress them down with some flats and a cardigan if you are going to a more causal place to eat.
Diamond ikat dress
$158 - ON SALE 25% off with code HAPPYSHOPPING
My "dressy" side of my closet is pretty much 50% dresses and 50% blouses. To mix it up and not always be wear dresses on our dates I'll throw in an outfit with a cute top and a skirt. Something neutral for one of the pieces matched with a bright piece for the other are the perfect compliments to each other for spring!
Fluid shirttail henley
Paired w/ JCrew's Fluted skirt in double crepe which I just purchased this past weekend as a little birthday gift to myself! ON SALE w/ same code from above.
With it still being pretty cold out all around the country, but especially in Chicago, pants are still kind of in my outfit wheel for date nights. A cute pair of slacks or for when it gets warmer out, a dressier pair of shorts with any blouse would be great options, too.
To polish off that great outfit you picked out you need the perfect pair of shoes to go with it. I usually like to stay away from boots or sandals for date nights. I personally think a designated night like this deserves a fancier shoe like some heels or a cute pair of ballet flats. Of course if you have an adorable pair of boots that you just can't resist not wearing with your adorable dress then of course go for it!
Women's Mossimo Pembroke Wedges
I'm all about the statement necklaces these days. I am trying to add to my collection like a mad woman. I think they look great with collared shirts, bare skin, crew necks, just everything! The right color and the right shapes can really polish off an outfit to make it the perfect one for the night.
