Our 2nd morning in Portland was heavenly because of our breakfast. Ashlyn had picked the spot because she had heard about it from the Food Network...and if it was on TV it had to be amazing right?! Well we wanted to see for ourselves so we made our way to Pine State Biscuits for some breakfast.
Food + Drink
This breakfast was incredible! Ashlyn and I both got The Reggie biscuit sandwich. It has fried chicken, bacon, and cheese, and is topped with gravy...and obviously comes on a biscuit. The gravy was perfectly saucy and the biscuits were perfectly airy. The middle contents were excellent, as well. I'm a sucker for fried chicken, especially for breakfast. It's a special treat for me to have at all but especially before 12pm! And if you don't know this about me already, I'm a bacon fiend. I get bacon on anything I can or order it on the side with every breakfast/brunch. The bacon at Pine State was crispy and delicious...exactly how I like it! They serve Stumptown Coffee at Pine State (this seemed to be the trend every where in Portland), and while it was really strong, it was exactly what I needed to kick start the second day of our Portland adventure.
Ambience + Atmosphere
The inside was super modern with lots of open space. There seemed to be quick turn around with a lot of people coming in to get their breakfast and be on their way. Ashlyn and I were able to pick any seat in the place and have a nice breakfast together. It was all high top seating. A very causal place to go for a quick biscuit sandwich with anyone!

Location + Transportation
The location we chose to go to was the NE Schuyler one. We had to find street parking and pay the meter, but it was a whopping 93 cents, I believe. We only had to walk a block to get to Pine State. It wasn't a very busy area for a Friday morning either!
Extras + Details
This is a no reservation necessary spot. You stand in line, get to the little window, order your food, and eat. It wasn't busy when we went on a Friday morning at 9am. We didn't have to wait very long for our food either. The gal who worked the window was very friendly, too. It wasn't an expensive place at all and they take cash or credit.

Overall Impression
We loved Pine State Biscuits! I can't wait for my next trip out to Portland to visit my best friend, so I can go again. I'm open to trying a different sandwich, but The Reggie was just so dang good I might have to just get it again since I'll only get to go once a year! I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the Portland area. I bet you can order anything on the menu and it'll be fantastic. It'll have you wanting more biscuits just like it did for me!
