Even though the main concentration of a camping trip is all the fun things you get to do like hiking, canoeing, and making s'mores, you still need to figure out what you're going to pack and wear while you're doing all these fun things! The weekend that we went camping in Cuyahoga Valley National Park was a hot one. I'm talking like hottest weekend of the year, 90 degrees hot. I had to make conscious decisions on what I was going to wear to ensure that I wouldn't overheat but I would also have enough protection while hiking through the woods.
Day 1
My Hello Apparel floral tank top and jean shorts were a perfect pick of a 90 degree day of hiking in Ohio. I was still hot, but the sleeveless lightweight tank really helped to keep me from overheating. I got a nice little shoulder tan, too! My hiking shoes from Jeep are so light and keep me walking comfortably for hours. Last but not least, my navy Ralph Lauren baseball cap is the best. It keeps the sun out of my eyes and keeps my frizzy hair in check!

Day 2
Our 2nd day of hiking was just a half day. We did a long morning hike, so it was hot, but not as hot as our first day. I wanted to cover my shoulders up though since they were exposed all day the day before. My button up was lightweight and kept me cool in the fresh morning air. I wore the same shorts, shoes, and hat as the first day because I packed minimally.
