The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper was a challenge. A good challenge though. It was slightly confusing due to the multiple Indian tribes that are referenced but it is action packed and just down right interesting. I learned a lot about a time in history that I was not familiar with. As you can tell from the title, the story is about an Indian tribe called the Mohicans along with a couple of other tribes and their quest to rescue captives from a different Indian tribe during the French and Indian War. There's a lot of history, a lot of action, and a little bit of romance thrown in to give the story a little something extra. I highly recommend reading it and encourage you all to just push through when you're a little confused or feeling slow with it. It's worth it in the end and after all is said in done I really did like it! The footnotes and endnotes really helped and the ending brings great perspective to an important time in history!
Read it! I know you'll love it!
