The Silkworm is about an author who goes missing and Strike is hired by the author's wife to find out where he is. The author writes a very controversial book that gets a lot of the literature world of London stirred up. There are plenty of suspects in regards to the author's disappearance and in the end you would have never guessed who is involved!
I absolutely loved The Silkworm, and not just because Jo wrote it. I mean she is queen of the world, but it is just genuinely a great read. If I had more time on my hands I probably could have finished it in a few days instead of a few weeks. I was always dying to read more while I was reading it or couldn't wait till I had time the following day to keep going. The story takes so many twists and I kept jumping back and forth with who I thought was involved with what happened to the author. I love that kind of writing. It keeps you on your toes. For me, it's rare to find a book that I just can't put down. A lot of times, I will really like a book, but will have my fill for the day and be ready for bed or whatever else I have to get done that day. This was not the case with this book though, if I could have read it all in one sitting I wouldn't have minded one bit. So with saying that, I think you all need to read it right this second if you haven't already!
