Taking the CTA to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game in Chicago is one of the most popular ways of transportation to get to a game. However, it can be overwhelmingly crowded to get back on the train after a game. It's wall to wall people and if you don't leave a game early, you end up having to wait for 3 trains to pass you by before you can get on. Driving is even worse. Bumper to bumper traffic for miles. My solution to this problem is, don't leave Wrigleyville right away! Here are the 10 best spots to hit up after a Cubs game and wait out the mob of people leaving the neighborhood.
1. The Cubby Bear
This bar is located right across the street from the field. It quite big inside with plenty of tables. They serve up delicious food and you can keep the beer flowing till it's time to go home.
2. Rockit Burger Bar
Head down Clark St. a little bit from the field and you'll find this burger joint across the street. Wanting the best burger around after a game? Go here. Make a reservation, too. You won't regret it.
3. Vines on Clark
Feeling some wine post game instead of more beer? Hit up Vines on Clark for some tasty fermented grapes and food. It's located across the street from the field right next to the Cubby Bear.
