Leather chair
This is not just an ordinary leather chair we picked up at the furniture store. No, it is actually like almost every other piece of furniture that Caleb and I have in our apartment: it comes with a hilarious back story. I'm not sure why everything we own furniture wise has some crazy story to go a long with it, but I love it. This past Friday we made a quick stop at the mall to return something at JCrew and decided we would stroll through Sears real quick to look at TVs. On our way through the store we saw this chair. At first we thought it was a display but then we noticed a tag on it. It was a discontinued floor model and it was $175. We were like "what!? This can't be real life." So I sat in it and my gosh was it so comfy! We decided to mull it over while we went to check out the TVs. Naturally mulling it over means we will buy it on our way back. Well, an old woman was sitting in it when we got back over to where it was. I ended up having to browse through the men's section for a good 20 minutes before this woman stopped reading a book in it and got up out of my new chair. So, Caleb went to get HIS car (Audrey the Honda Accord) while I was checking out. Yeah that didn't work in the slightest and it was 8:55 PM. Caleb ended up having to sit in the chair outside in the Sears parking spot while I drove home like a maniac to get Tiffany the Honda CRV. After that lovely adventure we now have this amazing chair that was originally $700 in our living room, which has already been deemed Wrigley's throne.

Coral purse
Every girl needs a bright coral purse for the summertime, right? I've been using the same bright green one for a couple years now and decided it was time to spring for a new summer color bag, or Caleb decided he would spring for it (he's so good to me!) I got this beauty at Charming Charlie for $40. It's super spacious, so it has room for all the ridiculous things I think I need to carry on a day to day basis. Maybe I should do an updated what's in my bag edition with it!? Yes, no, maybe so?

Shorty's True American Roadhouse
I've been obsessed with BBQ lately because well it's my favorite thing to eat in the summer by a long shot. A couple weeks ago we took a road trip out to Toledo, OH for my cousin's wedding and went out to dinner with some of my family to Shorty's True American Roadhouse. Oh my goodness, this place is to die for. The corn muffins alone is enough reason to go there. I got the Boss Hog pork sandwich. It was pulled pork, BBQ sauce, jack cheese, bacon, their boss hog sauce and it was served on Texas toast. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. If you're ever in that neck of the woods definitely make a stop there.

Summerfest
My music favorite of the month will probably come as no surprise, Summerfest! This festival is seriously incredible. We saw Kongos play this past Saturday night, and they were beyond incredible. Fantastic live performers. However, the rest of Summerfest was just as incredible. They have tons of different vendors selling everything and anything you can imagine, a bunch of different food options, it's right on Lake Michigan, and they have different smaller bands playing all around the grounds for you to discover and fall in love with. Before Kongos started, we wandered around the grounds for a little bit and sat and listened to a little band that played a bunch of cover songs. Good ole 90s rock. It was so enjoyable, and I can't wait to go back next weekend! Look for the upcoming #EpEx14 post on it, because it is one of the items on our Epic Experience 14 list!

FAIL
I dropped the ball on reading this month, friends. I apologize! I'm currently reading Bossypants by Tina Fey, and loving it though! Look for the book review in the next week or so. Also, if you have any good book recommendations for me, please leave me a comment with them! I'm always looking to add more books to my list.

Rosetta Stone
I finally did it. I finally bought Rosetta Stone to learn Italian. I loaded it on to my computer and have done the first activity of the first unit of lesson 1. Yeah, I've got a long way to go, but I'm so excited to be adding Italian to my language wheel! ARRIVEDERCI!

Black fluted skirt
This skirt is probably the one clothing item I was most excited about buying this month. Not only do I love this fluted skirt from JCrew, but I love it times a million because I bought it for $30! I bought the lime green one back in March as a little birthday present to myself and I paid $80 for it I think? We're talking more that 50% off people! It's perfect for work, date night, family dinners, pretty much everything in my opinion. It's still available now, but it's a little bit more expensive than what I bought it for. Watch for additional sales though, and you can get it for just as cheap if not cheaper!

Toner
I think I've found the secret to mostly clear skin...toner. Who knew!? Okay, probably a lot of people, but honestly I didn't really believe in it till I gave it a try a few weeks ago. I wash my face with my cleanser and Clarisonic at night, and then I take a little cotton face pad with some toner on it and wipe my face. It's disgusting how dirty my face still is! I contemplated taking a picture of these little face pads to show you, but then decided that's just gross. I use cleanser and a Clarisonic though! How can my face still be dirty!? Well, somehow it is and this Boots Botantics cleansing toner helps to get it as clean as possible before I go to sleep. My face has been SO clear and soft lately. It's reducing my acne like crazy. I HIGHLY recommend giving it a try. I bought it at Target for only $5.99! It's going to last a long time, too. I think I bought it 3 weeks ago and you can see from the picture that I've barely used any of it. And I'm already raving about it? I'm convinced it's magic in a bottle.

Megan Rienks on YouTube
I discovered the wonderful Miss Meghan "Rosette" Rienks on YouTube a couple weeks ago. I love her videos. She's so funny and cute and just gives the best life tips. You can find stuff on beauty, fashion, cooking, health, and walk away with some good laughs. She's got such a personality, and I really enjoy hearing about her life. She's an actress in LA, who started out as a beauty vlogger on YouTube. Mad props to her for living out her dreams and being such an inspiring young woman at the age of 20! I look forward to her putting up new videos and even going back to watch her old ones in my down time. Love you oodles and oodles Meghan! (It's a Meghan thing...go watch her vids to know what I mean ;) )
