I of course believe first and for most that beauty comes from within. There are no if, ands, or buts about that! However, I know all us 20 something gals use a little bit of makeup here and there, and I know all of us at least use shampoo! So, lets talk beauty products. Here are my favorites from each type of product I use:
1. Organix Shampoo/Conditioner
I just started using the Organix shampoo and conditioner last month, and I LOVE it. My hair feels and looks better since using it. Before my hair use to dry out so quickly, and I would get deep conditioning treatments done at the salon, but I don't think I'm going to need one for awhile now. They also offer hair masks, so you can do your own deep condition treatment at home! I use the macadamia oil because it's meant for hydrating. It can be purchased pretty much anywhere, but I go to Target. They are $5.79 each.

2. Mad About You Body lotion/Shower gel/Body spray
So perfect for spring! It smells delightful, and it always makes me feel so fresh and clean. It can be purchased at Bath and Body Works. You can buy each separately, the lotion and shower gel run at $12.50 a piece and the body spray is $14. I usually do the buy 2 get 1 free deal or you can purchase the cute little gift set for $25...you actually save $12 with that. Maybe I should look in to that next time? Who knew!

3. Yes to Tomatoes Pore scrub/Repair acne lotion/Spot stick
I discovered this cheap but effective line a couple years ago. I've tried other face washes since, but I'm convinced this is the best. If you still have a little bit of acne or oily skin like I do, this stuff works wonders. I use the face scrub morning and night, the repair action lotion (moisturizer) in the morning, and the spot stick at night. I pair the face scrub with my Clarisonic and it gets every last piece of dirt, makeup, and dry skin off my face. This is probably my most highly suggested beauty product...oh and invest in a Clarisonic...seriously. You can get Yes to Tomatoes and other Yes to products at Target. You can purchase the 3 pack for $19.99 or each item separately, but each item costs $10+, so the 3 pack is really a good deal.

4. TRESemme Heat protecting spray
Like I mentioned above, I tend to suffer from dried out hair. This heat protecting spray seems to help protect it from drying my hair out even more when using my blow dryer, straightener, or curling iron. I spray it on after I get out of the shower if I know I'm going to use heat on my hair. You can purchase it anywhere, but like always, I buy it from Target for $3.99.

5. TRESemme Extra hold hairspray
Workers wonders. A little bit goes a long way. I don't feel like my hair is crunchy or looks like it has too much hairspray in it when I use it. And I pretty much use it every day because my hair is a lion's mane. You can purchase it anywhere, but guess where I get it!? Yep, Target for $3.99.

6. Chanel Double Perfection Lumiere Long-Wear powder makeup
It's expensive, I'll start with that. However, I buy it so infrequently that the price doesn't bother me so much. I have very sensitive skin, and I noticed when I switched to this foundation, my skin has been a lot smoother. I use a big brush to the powder and contour my face with it. Then I use the little pad inside the compact to even out the areas. I like powder foundation more than liquid because it looks more natural on my face. I don't mind a few blemishes here and there. I will never have perfect skin, and I have accepted this fact. You can purchase this foundation anywhere Chanel makeup is sold, but I buy mine at Nordstrom for $52.99.

7. Covergirl Concealer
I use this little bottle of concealer for my under eye area. Just a few small dots under my eyes to get ride of the dark circles, and I look like a whole new person. I instantly don't look tired. You can purchase it anywhere, but yes, I get it from Target for $6, I think?

8. BareMinerals Lash Domination mascara
I recently switched to this mascara, and I love it! It goes on really smooth, and it doesn't clump my eyelashes. I also feel like it doesn't make me look like I'm wearing too much on my eyes. I of course want my eyelashes to be long and voluminous, but I'm more about the natural look then the heavy duty cover your whole face with makeup look. You can purchase it from BareMinerals for $18.99.

9. Clinique Blended face powder
This stuff is fantastic! It's a finishing powder that you put on over your foundation and concealer. It blends them together to give a nice finish. I think this powder is the real factor in making my face look natural when I'm wearing makeup. It takes the cakey makeup look away, and gives it a nice blended finish. You can purchase it at any department store, but I go to Nordstrom for $23.

10. BareMinerals Blush
I've been using this blush for a few months now, and it's wonderful. It stays on all day, and all you need is a little bit. It makes my cheeks so bright and full of life. I always have people ask me if I just got back from Mexico (ha, I wish) because I have so much color in my face. I love it. You can buy it at BareMinerals for $19.

11. Maybelline Define A-Line eyeliner
I've been using this eyeliner for a long time, and will probably never switch. It's a mechanical smooth pencil eyeliner. No sharpening, and no liquid. As you can tell, I'm not super makeup saavy, so liquid eyeliner frightens me. I could only imagine what my face would look like if I used liquid eyeliner...not good I know that much. This Maybelline eyeliner goes on so smooth though, and if you mess up there is a little eraser on it! You can buy it at any drug store, but I get it at Target for a whopping $3.59.

12. Chanel No. 5 perfume
I love this perfume. It's so classic and beautiful. I feel wonderful when I'm wearing it. I feel like it is more of a winter perfume, but I can't decide what "spring" perfume I want. Nothing tops Chanel No. 5. You can purchase it at most department stores, but I buy mine from Nordstrom for $98.

13. Yes to Blueberries Age refresh facial towelettes
I bring these little face wipes to the gym with me. I wipe my makeup off before my workouts and then again after my workouts to get all the sweat and dirt off my face. I've noticed since I started this routine that I have less acne. I always seem to get pimples and zits after I workout and go run errands. If I don't shower or wash my face immediately, I will break out. These wipes are a good alternative when I go to the gym and give me time to get home and shower. You can buy them at Target for $5.99.

14. Boots Botanics soothe eye makeup remover
I always use eye makeup remover because I notice if I don't then my mascara will go on clumpy the next day. This eye makeup remover is great because it gets everything off, it doesn't burn your eyes, and once you wash your face with your cleanser, everything is gone. It doesn't leave an oily residue on your eyes/face, and the next day when I put my eye makeup on it doesn't smear or run throughout the day. A lot of times the reason your eye makeup doesn't stay on is because your makeup remover is too oily. This one is great. Plus it's all organic materials. You can buy it at Target for $6.29.

Your probably wondering where the favorite eye shadow, lipstick, brow pencil, and nail polish is...well I don't have favorites of those actually! I'm cheap and I use free sample eye shadow and lip stick from Lancome. I don't use a brow pencil because I am blessed with thick eyebrows, so I just use an eyebrow brush to smooth the hairs. As for nail polish...I buy whatever color I'm feeling at the cheapest price possible. I'm always open to suggestions though! What are your favorite beauty products you use and will never deviate from?
