1. Madewell Little Black Dress
At the beginning of the month, I went shopping in the city with my family, and I found the most perfect little black dress at Barney's New York. Of course it was $1,200 and obviously could never ever afford a dress like that. Our next stop was Madewll, and I found an even more perfect (if that's even possible) dress on the clearance rack there! They are so similar and instead of having to sell body parts to buy the dress from Barney's, this one was only $30! Unfortunately, it's sold out on the website, but you should still check out the rest of the sale items at Madewell because they are having a 30% off sale on all clearance items!

2. BareMinerals mascara
I have pretty much been using the same mascara since I started wearing makeup. I decided it was time to venture out and try a new one this month, since my usual one was running out. I'm really loving the Lash Domination BareMinerals mascara in intense black. It was $18.00, so a bit more then I usually spend on mascara, but I'm thinking it was worth it. The brush is different than your usual mascara brush. It doesn't have bristles all the way around it and is curved a little bit. So, it's works really well at keeping your lashes from not clumping, especially when you do an up and curl action with the brush.

3. The Pump Room
My new favorite restaurant not just of March, but of all time. It was literally the best food I've ever had. Caleb and I went for our anniversary. We each had the tasting package that they offer, so we each got to try 6 of the most popular dishes the restaurant offers. I also added the wine pairing to my dinner. It was the most we've ever spent on a date, and won't be able to do it again probably for another 2 years, but it was such a wonderful experience. Out of the 6 courses, my favorite was the first one, which was fresh salmon over crispy sushi rice w/ chipotle ailoi. I still dream about those little salmon sushi pieces. One day, we will go back and get that as our appetizer.

4. Scarf
My favorite accessory I purchased this month would have to be this "Burberry" scarf that I got this past weekend in Chinatown. It is so soft! I wore it for the first time yesterday, and I want to wear it 24/7. I got it as part of a 2 for $15 deal at a random shop on Wentworth Ave. I wish I had a link to the shop for you guys because they had so many different kinds and super cute purses, as well. I guess you all will just have to visit Chicago and go for yourself sometime!

5. Hobby Lobby patio set
Once again with the practical gifts, Caleb bought me this adorable patio set for our anniversary! I can't wait till it gets warm enough out that I can go out there and sip my coffee in the mornings and enjoy the birds chirping and dogs walking. It was on super sale; all 3 pieces for $139! Not too shabby, right?
On to April, now. Happy Monday, everyone!
