We started our first full day out in San Francisco at this beauty! We tackled The Presido and walking the Golden Gate bridge bright and early. In my opinion it was the best time to go because it was nice and cool out plus we got to see the fog slowly burn off.
The Golden Gate National Parks are ran by the National Parks Service (shout out to Parks & Rec!) Just kidding, but they seriously do an amazing job with the upkeep of these parks. The Warming Hut has actually been turned in to a gift shop. They have lots of fun trinkets in there, and I spent more money in there than I care to admit!
We spent a good portion of the morning walking through The Presido because it really is the best view. You can obviously see the bridge but you can also see Alcatraz and in to Marin County. There are also a lot of lovely paths with flowers and docks with fishermen.

We slowly worked our way closer and closer to bridge from The Presido and walked all the way across! It was quite windy and crowded but definitely worth it. You have an amazing view of the bay, the San Francisco skyline, and Alcatraz. The steel of the bridge is just incredible, too.
After exploring the Marin County side, we walked all the way back. What's really nice about walking the bridge is they have a designated side walk for walkers and runners and the other side is for bikers. Obviously the cars drive in the middle. They actually move the markers on the road for the cars depending on the time of day to help with the flow of traffic! I thought that was pretty cool considering the traffic there can be awful.
