We have another YM guest here today to tell you about an incredible festival that is held in Des Moines in the late spring time...drum roll please...Caleb!

One of the highlights of Des Moines is the Science Center of Iowa. It is a great place to take the kiddos for a day of fun and learning. Have no fear all you adults though, it's actually pretty fun for us, too!
We're going to travel back in time today about 2 months. OR we can just pretend this trip happened last weekend? Whichever you prefer! Anyways, back in May, we went out to Des Moines again for the most wonderful wedding and had loads of fun exploring more of this awesome midwestern city! Our first stop when we got there, a Mexican restaurant for some lunch.
Even though this trip was taken a couple months ago I still feel like this packing list is very relevant because it's still wedding season! Packing for a wedding can sometimes be very easy or very hard. In my case it was easy this time around since I was in the bridal party and that eliminated me having to pack anything for day 2 of our weekend trip! Friday was full of outfit changes though, so I tried to pack minimally for Sunday and not have any changes that day. I got all this expect my purse to fit cleanly in to my weekender bag...success!

I've never been to Hawaii before and I hear Honolulu is a great place to start! Caleb and I decided in a couple years when we want to start a family our last big selfish hurrah is going to be a big trip to Hawaii. I guess this is a common thing to do? They call it a conception-moon? Ha!
Even though it seems as though summer is in full force here in Chicago, I can't help dreaming of a tropical place like Hawaii. Life has been a tad bit stressful lately, so a nice vacation to paradise sounds perfect right about now. This brings me to dreaming of Hawaii...

Calling all horse lovers! Arlington Park is a horse lovers paradise. The race track is situated in the suburbs of Chicago and far out enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city that you can really enjoy a day at the races. Last weekend I had the opportunity to do just that!
Taking the CTA to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game in Chicago is one of the most popular ways of transportation to get to a game. However, it can be overwhelmingly crowded to get back on the train after a game. It's wall to wall people and if you don't leave a game early, you end up having to wait for 3 trains to pass you by before you can get on. Driving is even worse. Bumper to bumper traffic for miles. My solution to this problem is, don't leave Wrigleyville right away! Here are the 10 best spots to hit up after a Cubs game and wait out the mob of people leaving the neighborhood.
Hola friends! We're back with our last bit about Summerfest today. We ended it with a bang, that's for sure. I truly believe the best way to do Summerfest is with the 3 day pass. You essentially get your last day for $5. You can't beat that! They have great musicians all 11 days, it's actually hard to choose just 3!
