Hello hello! Back with more on Summerfest on this glorious Friday! Like I said in my last post, we got 3 day passes to Summerfest this year, so for day two we went on a Tuesday night to see Meg Myers.

Summerfest is the world's biggest musical and it is held every year in Milwaukee, WI. Caleb and I started going to the festival last year and haven't looked back since. We love going and plan on going every year we possibly can. We always get the 3 day pass because it is only $45 a person! That gets you in all day long and you can go to any of the stages except the Marcus Amphitheater. Such a steal. Anyways, we decided this year to make our first day at Summerfest be Saturday, June 27th, which allowed us time to spend all day exploring Milwaukee!
We arrived in Milwaukee early in the afternoon and decided to embrace the beer city and have a drink right away. We were waiting to board our historic boat tour and there happened to be a local brewery right next to the dock. How lucky, right? I had a blonde ale called Gold Digger and Caleb had a Hefenwizen called Unshadowed at Ale Asylum.
I'm back with another book to review for all of you today! Hope all my American readers had a lovely Independence Day this past weekend and going back to work today wasn't too awful! I finished an incredible book yesterday and just have to share it with you right away.
It's no secret I'm a coffee fiend. Some people that know me even call me a coffee snob. I like to think of this as a positive rather than a negative because that just means I only drink the best of the best, right!? Well, I'm a big fan of a well brewed cup of Joe from your bigger chains like Starbucks, Peets, and Caribou, but I truly love local shops the most. Portland has some of the best coffee there is, so here's a list of what I think are the best coffee shops in Portland!

*DISCLAIMER: THIS LIST IS EVER EVOLVING DUE TO YEARLY VISITS TO SEE MY BEST FRIEND. THIS IS A LIST OF MY PERSONAL FAVORITES, AND I WAS NOT PROVIDED COMPENSATION FOR ANY OF THE PLACES ON THIS LIST. **If you have any recommendations for me for my next trip to Portland, then please leave me comments on the Portland city guide post or contact me via the Say Hello option on the top menu. ***Enjoy PDX!
So our main mission on our best friend trip to Portland, OR was to find Ashlyn an apartment. However, I realize many of you won't be going to Portland to apartment hunt, so I'm going to share day 3 of our trip with all of you because that was our full explorer day!
Alright friends, I'm probably going to sound like I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. Radar in Portland is one of the best restaurants in America. It was definitely our favorite meal on our trip to Portland, and all of me wishes I could eat here weekly. So without further ado...I give you Radar!
Pittock Mansion has the best view in Portland. Literally. The mansion is situated 1,000 feet above the city, so you can see it all from the grounds.
One of the beautiful places that we explored on our last day in Portland was the Portland Japanese Garden. It is nestled in Washington Park and is quite literally a sanctuary!
On our third and final day in Portland I decided to go for comfort all throughout. We did so much exploring on our last day plus went straight to the airport that night after dinner.
